What feels right for your child?
We begin with what the child enjoys, where they feel comfortable and how their family would like the time to be spent. An agreed visit can be quiet and familiar, active and full of discovery, or a little of both.
Our focus is one-to-one support for children with developmental disabilities at home and in the community. Activities, hours and locations are confirmed with the family and, when waiver funding is involved, must fit the child’s approved service authorization.

For many children, a good visit begins in a place they know. A worker can spend time playing games, sharing a favorite interest, offering homework encouragement or helping with an agreed routine.
The family helps us understand what works for their child so that time together has purpose and feels natural.
OUT & ABOUT
COMMUNITY TIME
Little outings.
Big moments.
A library visit, time at the park or another agreed outing can give a child room to explore, play and connect with the world around them.
Locations, timing, supervision and any transportation are planned with the family in advance. School pickup or travel in a worker’s car is offered only when available and properly arranged.

Respite and everyday support visits are planned around your family’s needs. IISS has a separate treatment plan and professional supervision requirements; all waiver services depend on provider approval and authorization.

Respite through the Autism Waiver offers caregivers a break while their child receives one-to-one supervision and support. Eligibility, service authorization and available hours are determined through the program.

Discuss private payIISS
Intensive Individual Support Services offer individualized, one-to-one support toward goals in an authorized treatment plan. Goals may address daily living, communication and participation at home and in the community, with qualified professional supervision.
Ask about IISSDDA waiver, Maryland Autism Waiver and IISS services are planned. Waiver-funded visits will begin after Purple Haven receives the required provider approvals and each participant’s services and hours are authorized.
